Our Terms & Conditions of Use

Welcome to our online store! Ginger and Petals Florist and its associates provide our services to you subject to the following conditions. If you visit us or shop within this website, you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. All prices shown are in Australian dollars.
  2. Prices do not include the courier delivery fee.
  3. The delivery fee is based and calculated on the location of the delivery address.
  4. Extra fees will be incurred for express priority, or redelivery or returned items.
  5. Each product pictured is representative of the premium price for size and/or flower quantity and container value. Reduced Prices for Standard arrangements are smaller than the imagery shown and reflect reduced sizes and stem counts accordingly.
  6. All designs illustrated are a guide to the type and style of seasonal flowers, food hampers and handmade gifts that will be delivered. Flowers, food hampers, containers, gifts and accessories will vary according to season and availability, or when they do not meet with our quality standards. In these cases, products of the equivalent value and quality will be substituted, without notice, in order to fulfill the requirements of the order selected.
  7. Add ons (Banners, Balloons, Candles, Cards, Champagne, Hampers, Sweets, Teddies, Wines, etc are extra). Extra fun, Extra happiness, Extra costs.

Our Substitution Policy

Sometimes substitution is necessary to ensure top quality. On occasion it may be necessary to substitute some or all of the flowers used in your arrangement or bouquet. This may be due to a number of factors that are not possible to predict, like local flower or colour availability. Seasonal availability can also mean some flower types may vary from those displayed in some of the images on our website. We will always go out of our way to try and source the flowers that you want, but this is not always possible. The gift wrapping & packaging may also vary from what is pictured on the website.

If you have a very specific need that the flower arrangement comes exactly as appears on the website, it is your responsibility to contact us by phone to discuss flower types, and availability.

In the case of a substitution, we guarantee to always substitute flowers of equal or higher value, and will try to keep with the theme of the flowers originally chosen, ensuring your message to the recipient is not lost.

In arrangements of assorted flowers, the colours shown online will be used if at all possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of greater value.

For one-of-a-kind flower arrangements, such as all roses or all lilies, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another colour.

For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, peace lily, succulents, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another variety depending on what is available. *Please note that flowering plants do not flower all year round. Potted plants will be sent out – but it is not always in bloom.

Gourmet Gifts & Specialty Items (including, but not limited to, Fruit and Gift Baskets, Cookies, Cakes, Chocolates, Teddy Bears, Balloons, and Vases): These items may be substituted with another specialty item of equal or greater value and of similar theme and category. Images of gift baskets represent number of product included, type and actual product variety will vary.

On peak seasons with hectic demands on deliveries, we guarantee to substitute with fresh local flowers that are available at the time of making your order without notice. We hope you enjoy the benefits of this method of ensuring that a delivery does go out for your special occasion. We will not be held responsible for lateness of order, which required substituting.

Our Delivery Policy

Ginger and Petals Florist will organize to deliver flowers and gifts to virtually anywhere in Australia and almost anywhere in the world through florist networks, where fresh flowers are available, and as such, the delivery service is subject to local conditions for each country. Delivery is usually available within 24 hours, but occasionally may take longer depending on time zones and local conditions. Prices are indicative only, as world currency, daily exchange rate fluctuations, bank fees and commissions may affect overall total pricing.

  • Some areas in some countries (including Australia) are classified as restricted delivery areas. Deliveries to these locations may take up to 48 hours.
  • Military bases, or mining sites may not allow delivery. Please check with the recipient prior to placing your order.
  • Our couriers do not call prior to delivery. Customers – Please ensure the recipient is home to receive items or that there is a safe place to leave the flowers.
  • We do not deliver on Public Holiday’s or Sundays (except Mothers Day)
  • Same day delivery within local CBD from Monday to Friday is usually possible as long as the order is placed before 12pm AEST. *see our delivery cutoff times for the direction of your recipient.
  • Afternoon orders after 12pm is lucky, but NOT guaranteed for same day delivery.
  • Saturday delivery in Cairns, may be possible as long as the order is placed the day before, prior to 2pm AEST. *Weekend rates apply. **Our preference is to send orders out on a Friday so your recipient can enjoy the flowers sooner and save you additional fees.
  • ALL Deliveries require the recipient’s contact phone number.
  • All deliveries to units, apartments and gated properties, require access codes at the time of ordering.
  • If your delivery is UNEXPECTED OR URGENT please CALL Ginger and Petals Florist on 0438 170 688 for advice on delivery availability.
  • All out of town Deliveries to Kuranda, Mareeba, Port Douglas and Mossman, Julatten, Mt Molloy, Atherton, Yungaburra, Tolga, Innisfail, Tully etc need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance due to restricted courier options. It is recommended that you phone the shop to ensure that your delivery can be completed prior to order being placed. * Please note these area zones may not have a weekend courier available.
  • For out of town deliveries, Ginger and Petals Florist recommend sending flowers and gifts that are arranged in a boxed container to avoid disappointment from breakages or unavailable vases. This method ensures the flowers stay in a water source for their lifespan.
  • Ginger and Petals Florist bears no responsibility for your incorrect information or deliveries that do not arrive in time or at all, or, to correct recipient, and will not replace or refund for these issues.
  •         Incomplete orders placed with incomplete recipient delivery information or card messages, will be held until delivery information has been received. In the event that the delivery date selected is no longer available your order will be moved to the next available delivery date at the time that order was completed. Sorry incomplete orders cannot be refunded. We will fulfill the order on the next available delivery date or issue a store credit for a future purchase. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all details are supplied and correct.
  • Please note that Ginger and Petals Florist cannot guarantee delivery at specific times due to the busy nature of the shop and due to the use of external Contract Courier companies. If you require a delivery that falls outside of our standard delivery service i.e. at a specific time or before or after closing hours – there is a $50 minimum delivery fee.
  •         High Volume Occasions The cut off and delivery time parameters do not apply to busy floral occasions including, but not limited to; Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day and Christmas. Please call us for expected delivery times on those days and make sure to place orders in advance to ensure timely delivery.

Unsuccessful Delivery Policy – If no one is home

It is the responsibility of the customer to make the recipient aware that a delivery will come and they should be home at time of delivery, or that there is a suitable spot to leave the flowers out of the weather. It may also be worth knowing what type of flowers they prefer, or if they have pets or allergies to specific scented flowers such as Oriental Lilies. We cannot refund orders delivered by courier services, that is not their preferred / favourite flowers, if that is what you have ordered for them.

In the event that the customer is not home, or the courier driver cannot gain access to deliver the flowers, due to security gates, dogs, exposure, risk of theft etc, the flowers may be either returned to the shop and an “attempted flower deliver notice” will be left notifying the customer to collect the flowers themselves from the shop. The customer can contact the shop to request a re-delivery at an additional cost. Depending on the delivery location, sometimes if the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery courier may leave the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, or leave the gift with a neighbor, or leave a message for the recipient to call to arrange for re-delivery.

Our Website Flower orders automatically have a “signature release,” which means that the package can be left at the recipient’s address without requiring a signature. In most cases, the delivery driver will knock or ring the doorbell and leave the product somewhere safe if there is no answer. If the driver feels it is unsafe to leave the package unattended (i.e. an apartment building with no doorman) they may require a signature or return to shop.

Delayed Deliveries

Sometimes delays for deliveries are out of our control. E.g. inclement weather, heavy traffic, road closures, flat tyre, car accidents, excessive late orders during peak seasons, etc. Ginger and Petals Florist will not be held responsible or liable for unexpected delays. We do not ever refund or compensate for orders that have been dispatched and delayed by external courier companies, especially in peak seasons like Valentines or Mother’s Days.

For residential, hospitals, and nursing home deliveries, in the unlikely event that there is a delay in the delivery, the delivery will be attempted the next day. During major flower holidays like Valentine’s and Mother’s Day deliveries may be made as late as 9p.m.

For business deliveries, if the recipient is not there, the business is closed, or there is a delay in the delivery, then the delivery will be attempted the next business day.
Please note: the florist may call the recipient to schedule the delivery… Sorry in advance if this reduces your recipient surprise – saving you a surprise of additional admin costs and redelivery fees is our aim.

Deliveries Containing Alcohol

Due to liquor licensing requirements all alcohol must be purchased with our flower arrangements and cannot be purchased separately.

Orders containing alcohol cannot be left unattended if there is no one there at the time of delivery nor can they be left with anyone under the age of 18 years.

Ginger and Petals Florist and our couriers reserve the right to request photo id to confirm the recipient is 18 years of age or over. In the event that the courier is unable to deliver the package to the nominated delivery address, it will be returned to our shop and a redelivery fee will apply.

Delivery to Apartments or Units

As most units and apartments now have restricted security access, we must have a contact phone number for the recipient and access code. If we are unable to gain access to the unit or apartment, flowers will be returned to the shop and an “attempted flower deliver notice” will be left notifying the customer to collect the flowers from the shop.  The customer can contact the shop to request a re-delivery at an additional cost.

If no one is home, and the courier driver cannot find a suitable safe place to leave the flowers out of the weather, the flowers may be returned to the shop as per above, unless the courier deems it OK TO LEAVE / or customer has given website authority to leave.

Ginger and Petals Florist will not be held responsible for refund or replacement of flowers if lifespan is ended prematurely due to courier leaving in weather when no one is home to receive the gift, or if flowers were stolen after delivery.

Delivery to Funerals

Ginger and Petals Florist treat funeral orders with a high priority. In order to see the order processed as efficiently as possible, all funeral orders must be placed no later than 48 hours prior to the delivery date and the following information must be supplied in the Address Details or Special Instructions:

  • Full name of the deceased.
  • The name and phone number of relative attending funeral is needed.
  • Funeral Director address, contact person name and phone number.
  • Date, time and venue of the funeral service.
  • As with all our important deliveries, we photograph for purpose of ensuring quality at the time of delivery. You are required to mention this to your contact at the Funeral home in case they require your signed permission to document our delivery for you.

Funeral Photographs
Ginger and Petals Florist reserve the right to photograph all arrangements upon delivery and installation, for assurance of product freshness when delivered. We ask you to give our name and contact details to your Funeral Directors, so they are aware that we have Your permission for photography on site at their venue, when we deliver and install, so we can take a few photos (only flowers on coffin or casket unless told otherwise). The photos can  be sent to you for proof of delivery. From time to time Ginger and Petals Florist may use one or two photos of our flower arrangements for our promotional material use to showcase our work.

Delivery to High Schools

High schools do not always accept deliveries for students. Check first!

Please send teacher’s gifts to the high school and any student orders to their residence.

Orders to high schools should be placed early because they usually must be received by 11am, to be delivered prior to 3pm

Delivery to DIFFICULT Addresses

Difficult to deliver addresses may include, new established houses that do not appear on Google maps, rural farms or highway addresses, dirt road addresses, houses with a different Lot number to street number, residences requiring security gate codes such as retirement villages or gated communities, businesses with security access, excessively steep driveways etc. Our couriers will do their best to deliver to obscure addresses, however, they and Ginger and Petals Florist are not liable for compensation or refund, if your order is delivered to the wrong address or if there is no access. We will make every attempt to contact the recipient of their delivery, however, if the courier is unable to deliver they will return the flowers to the store, where the recipient can pick up the flowers themselves.

Delivery of Gift Baskets, Kids Craft Hampers and Nappy Cakes.

In the event that any of the goods are unavailable at the time of ordering, we will automatically substitute other goods of equivalent or greater value. The flower and gourmet hampers pictured represent the starting or base value. If you choose a higher value listed, your order will be increased in size/value compared to the image shown.

  • Christmas hampers are available in store during the months of November and December only. All other hampers are available for delivery all year round.
  • Orders for fresh fruit baskets, Nappy Cakes or Kids Craft hampers must be placed 24 hours prior to the desired delivery date.
  • Cancellations or alterations to any order must be made within 24 hours of ordering.
  • Customer reports of damaged goods must be made within 2 hours from the time of delivery.
  • Due to the ever increasing cost of foods, hampers may have substituted foods without notice.

Delivery to Hospitals & Nursing Homes

For hospital / nursing home deliveries, please supply the following information in the Address Details and/or Special Instructions:

o   Full Name, married or maiden?

o   Date of birth if possible.

o   Ward name or number, Campus e.g.: rehab, surgical?

o   Hospital name and address, Public or Private Hospital?

o   Whether the recipient is a patient/resident or a staff member. Note: sometimes Doctors are patients.

o   E.g. Cairns Base Hospital , D Block, Level 2, Cardiac Ward, Room 16, Bed 2

o   For hospital and nursing home deliveries, Ginger and Petals Florist recommends sending flowers and gifts that are arranged in a boxed container to avoid disappointment from breakages or unavailable vases.

o   If the recipient has been discharged from hospital early, Ginger and Petals Florist is not liable for any compensation or loss for flowers left behind at the hospital. Redelivery fees do apply if the courier has attended hospital, then needs to return item and send to new address.

Please note:

o   We do not send loose cut flowers as there are usually limited suitable vases available.

o   Most hospitals do not allow plants. No plants are allowed for surgical patients

o   Hospitals do not allow fresh flowers in Intensive Care Unit or special care units.

o   Orders for patients restricted by hospital rules will have order substituted without notice. Substitute will be either artificial flower arrangement or balloon arrangement. We also can supply candles, skincare hampers, fruit baskets and other gift lines.

Delivery to Hotels & Holiday Resorts

Please provide Ginger and Petals Florist with the following information in the Address Details or Special Instructions:

  • Hotel or Resort name
  • Expected arrival time and correct date at Hotel/ Resort
  • Room name or number and the full street address
  • Whether the recipient is a guest or staff member
  • Note that deliveries dispatched as per your order details, then refused by reception or concierge due to wrong date, will incur return delivery fees and redelivery fees.
  • Ginger and Petals Florist are not responsible for your incorrect information and will not be held liable for compensation or refund for delayed or undelivered gifts and flowers.

Delivery to Ships

Please allow 24 hours for the delivery to be processed, Please supply the following information in the Address Details or Special Instructions:

  • Address for jetty or dock where boat is anchored
  • Name of shipping line
  • Name of ship
  • Cabin number/deck number
  • Exact times of departure and gate closure.
  • Whether the recipient is a passenger or crew member
  • Contact phone number of recipient/s.
  • Your consent for substitution without notice if order is rushed or restricted due to customs and quarantine laws.

Delivery to Incorrect Addresses

  •         If the recipient’s address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there is a $20 address correction fee. Ginger and Petals Florist are not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase. Ginger and Petals Florist will bear no refund or compensation for deliveries affected by Sender’s incorrect information.

Delivery to PO Boxes

We are NOT able to deliver flowers to a P.O. Box or an A.P.O. addresses.

Delivery to RURAL Addresses

Due to remoteness – sometimes rural addresses cannot be delivered, or the price is not viable. Some areas only have deliveries on set days as governed by the available courier companies.

We will first make attempt to contact your recipient by phone and organize a suitable meeting point for your recipient to meet courier drivers. This may change the delivery cost – by way of additional administrative or delivery fees.

PEAK SEASON ORDERS AND DELIVERY

Valentine’s Day, Mothers Day and Christmas Deliveries
  •   Ginger and Petals Florist makes every attempt to deliver all orders to Cairns CBD address received a minimum of 5 weekdays prior to these hectic occasions.
  •   Priority is always given to organized customers who have ordered and paid, more than 5 weekdays prior to their delivery.
  •   Orders taken less than 5 weekdays prior to these special event days will only be able to order FLORIST CHOICE at various price increments.
  •   “Florist Choice” means Ginger and Petals Florist will use their best judgment to fulfill your order to meet the delivery deadline, using remainder of seasonal flowers available on hand at the time of making your order. Small requests may be fulfilled if possible at the florist’s discretion. E.g. Yellow arrangement, Pet-Friendly arrangement.
  •   Absolutely no specific flower or colour requirements will be guaranteed on late orders or\of “Florist Choice”. Ginger and Petals Florist do the best we can within our scope, after we have fulfilled the pre-ordered gifts ahead of yours at the time your order is due to be made.
  •   A “Florist Choice” order, means you trust the experienced florist and you give them creative license to design an arrangement at the time of making your order using seasonally available flowers to your price budget. The florist has the right to design and create your order using whatever flowers, they choose and whatever vessel they choose to display your flowers in, without prior notice.
  •   If Ginger and Petals Florist has a promotion running at the time eg. Free chocolates or free balloon etc, the florist may design your order to incorporate the free item. This may mean the chocolates are added into the flower design rather than in a separate box, or that we turn your flowers into a Hot Air Bloom Balloon design if there is a balloon promotion running.
  •   Ginger and Petals will offer NO refunds or compensation for your change of mind or late orders as we/all florist encourage people to order well in advance for these reoccurring annual events that customers have 1 whole year to plan and prepare for.
  •   For ease of making and delivering flowers, Ginger and Petals reserves the right to turn all orders into an arrangement rather than a bouquet.
  •   Flowers will be substituted without notice on these hectic busy days.
  •   No guarantees for late orders to arrive by 5 pm or same day delivery on Valentine’s or Mother’s Day as external courier businesses are used to make these events happen and we cannot control what other items they have on board for delivery also.
  •   Special circumstances – please call, do not email or text and hope that we will see it in time, particularly as there is likely to be 100 orders ahead of yours. Jump the queue fees apply.
  •   Orders received for delivery to Cairns metropolitan residential addresses may arrive by approximately 9pm on Valentine’s or Mother’s Day weekend.
  •   Due to the high volume of orders placed for delivery during these busy periods we are unable to accommodate time specific deliveries or requests for preferred times. Phone Interruptions to ask where the courier is once ordered or dispatched, just delay everyone else’s orders, and WILL NOT make yours arrive sooner.
  •   Express delivery fee Orders will be prioritized ahead of Standard delivery fee orders.
  •   At the time of ordering it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the recipient’s name, address, access codes, phone number and card message is complete and correct and that there is someone at this address to receive the flowers or that it is safe to leave the flowers at this address if there is no one there to receive them.
  •   If we receive an order that does not have a card message supplied, we will assume that the customer does not want a card message and therefore we will proceed to deliver the order without a message.
  •   Ginger and Petals Florist are unable to alter or change any orders placed for delivery on Valentine’s Day or Mother’s day after 12 noon the weekday before these specific days.

Cancelations and Refunds of Order:

Ginger and Petals offers a refund, exchange and cancelation policy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Florist Delivered Products:
Same-day and next-day orders are processed immediately, therefore cannot be changed or cancelled. Due to the urgent nature of the flower order processing time we are unable to cancel or change orders already in process at the florist, en route or delivered. No refunds will apply.

To cancel or change an order that has NOT been processed, please call 0438 170 688 at least 2 days prior.

Canceling Dispatched Products:
We are unable to cancel orders for flower products that have already dispatched to the couriers.  Ginger and Petals Florist, will not be held liable for refund or compensation for your change of mind, cancellation of orders dispatched to your recipients.

Ginger and Petals offer a refund on orders that have been cancelled 2 days prior on all retail flowers – excluding special request flowers. This does not include weddings and special events – please refer to the Weddings and Special Events section of our policy. This does not include Flower Holidays such as Valentines, Mother Day and Christmas.

Unfortunately as all flower orders are custom made, Ginger and Petals can not refund an order that has already been made.

Ginger and Petals pride ourselves on fresh quality flowers, however, if your flowers are not up to scratch, please get in contact with us, and we will assess your flowers on a case by case basis and may replace/exchange any unfavorable flowers in your order, when you return them to our store on the same day.

Pricing:

Prices shown below product images do not include our shipping and service fees. Prices below the small image are the premium price for the item. Many products are available in Standard, Deluxe, and Premium sizes that you can upgrade to.

Pricing for Holidays:

Some items increase in price around major holidays. If the price increases for the holiday you will notice the change when you choose a date that is near a major flower holiday. If the price does not go up then the item does not increase in price for the holidays. Prices normally only increase during month of February and May until a few days after Valentine’s and Mothers Day.

Price Changes:

Ginger and Petals has a $75 minimum store order. This does not include delivery.  

For international and domestic orders: Some local florists have minimum dollar amounts for orders. We are committed to matching you with a local florist that can fill your order for your selected item(s)’s paid dollar-amount. However, there are rare occasions when the most cost-effective local florist’s minimum exceeds the amount you paid for your selected item(s). We will contact you if such a situation arises.

Card Messages:

The message that you write in the Card Message field is the message that is sent with the gift. We do not include any billing information with your order.

Wine:

All wine and other alcoholic beverage products are delivered from a licensed retailer and the recipient must be 18 years of age. Our couriers reserve the right to ID check the recipient.

Recipient May Be Contacted:

In some cases, the florist may contact the recipient to ensure s/he will be home to accept the delivery. Please note we do not always have time to phone ahead.

Terms and Conditions as a Fulfilment Florist

At Ginger and Petals, we like many other florists, reluctantly partner with third party agencies for website orders.

Customers should note that as the Fulfilment Florist – we are not liable for unsuitable flowers ordered from these sites, or the presentation appearance. We supply flowers as close to the photo ordered using the stem count required or the ingredient list given by the 3rd Party. This could mean expensive flowers flown in from southern climates or overseas, to meet your ordered requirements; But that also means that long traveled Tulips from Holland, Imported Orchids from Singapore, or Natives from Africa, and South American Roses heavily treated with pesticides, may not last as long as expected, because they don’t suit our heat and climate of the tropics. We recommend talking directly to the florist who will be making your order and sending out the delivery. They know what will suit your requirements best out of what is available and sourced locally to give you the best longevity, or best fit for purpose.

As the Fulfilment Florist we also will not tolerate abuse from Recipients who are unhappy with the size of the delivered flowers.

As a Fulfilment Florist, we do not control pricing, or selection of flowers. We are guided or governed by the third party companies to make their photoshopped arrangements come to life. God does not always make matching colours to these images. The images display the premium sized arrangement – which may not be what you’ve paid for in your order. Seasonal flowers vary dramatically in size, colour and buying prices.

The price you paid for your order usually includes approximately 35 -45% commissions and fees for using that site. It also includes 10% GST paid by them to the ATO. It also includes delivery driver fees – sometimes another 20 – 30% of total cost. Please be aware of this when you shop on any third party website. If your delivery looks like a large percentage is missing – it is!!!

What you are paying for is a website or phone service to take their fees from your order and for a courier to deliver the flowers ordered. As Fulfillment Florists, we cannot cancel your order, or refund your order – as we don’t have your money. Often our minimal percentage remaining from the order is not paid to us for another month after processing and delivering your order.

Think about that when supporting your farmers and florists. We strongly recommend that you buy direct from the Florist who support local farmers and community members like local courier services so we all eat. Shop local. Support small businesses that shop where you live.

Recipient Refusal of Delivery:

Ginger and Petals Florist are not to be held liable for refund, if the recipient refuses to accept a delivery. Once the order is made, and delivery attempted, we do expect full payment for our work.

Recipient disappointment:

We hope that the person you are ordering flowers for, and if you phone us we will help guide you through the maze of flowers to get what you think they would like. E.g. Favourite colour, favourite scent, favourite flower. However once order is made according to Senders requirements and delivered, we cannot give refunds for Recipients unhappiness with the Senders choice of flowers. Ginger and Petals cannot give refunds for change of mind. E.g. Recipient hates scented lilies, doesn’t like the flower, colour, or its not what they wanted for their birthday, etc.  This is a discussion you might have with them prior to ordering. Once made, we cannot unmake it. Once delivered, we cannot undeliver it.

Dissatisfied with our product:

Online Orders and Phone orders are made fresh daily prior to courier dispatch.

All orders are photographed prior to leaving with courier.

All orders leave with care instructions and plant food.

All deliveries not accepted onsite by recipient, that have been deemed OK to Leave, with authority from customer who ordered it, are photographed by courier where they have left it.

For any product issues, the product must be returned to our shop on the same day

to see and discuss the issue.

Products must be returned in the same condition it was sent out on the same day.

Any and all packaging must be returned in original salable condition for warranty claims.

Ourselves or our couriers attempts to make contact with recipient via phone or text, prior to  leaving at recipients address. Cards may be left in letterbox.

Ginger and Petals will not be held responsible or liable for compensation, if you have received a flower arrangement that wilts in heat from inadequate shade at your house or delivery address, or that you have forgotten to water.

If you have a genuine concern that a gift is not correct, it is your responsibility to return the item/s immediately to our shop. We do not send couriers to pick up flowers that have already been delivered.

If it is genuinely not what was ordered, notify the courier service company when they deliver, and our shop. Do not accept or sign for delivery. (*accidents may happen and sometimes a courier service may deliver a wrong item. If the item is not addressed to you or your family member, say so to the courier who may have many more onboard and mixed up the delivery item. Sometimes a forgotten chocolate or accessory may be still onboard their vans and forgotten in a rush especially on their busy days).

All orders delivered via courier with OK to Leave Authority, or signed confirmation of acceptance will not be refunded for your change of mind or weather damage.

We pride ourselves in our work. If you feel that we have not supplied or missed a part of your order (e.g. courier forgot to give wine or chocolates) please contact us to discuss the matter within an hour of delivery so we can rectify the matter the same day where possible. Please send a text message to our phone 0438 170 688 with a photo of flowers/ gift or problem issue.

Abuse Policy:

Due to the nature of working with perishables with limited expiry date, we are unable to refund for items not returned in same condition on same day. Thank you for understanding. There is no excuse for abuse!

You can’t have your cake and eat it too…

Keyboard Warriors who prefer to defame our business rather than return the item, will not be considered genuine complaints.  Ginger and Petals is unable to apply any refund to flowers or hampers that have been dispatched and signed for as accepted delivery.

Abuse or threats that persists will be actioned accordingly and reported to police when Using a carriage service or device to menace, harass or cause offence.

Weather effecting florist delivered products:

Severe weather conditions or other acts of God may cause a delay in the delivery of your order. In the event that a product arrives early, the recipient can enjoy the gift early, but we are unable to offer a discount based on early deliveries.

Weather effecting products that are shipped:

Ginger and Petals Florist is not responsible for delays in delivery caused by severe weather conditions or other acts of God and cannot reimburse delivery fees on such orders.

Product Substitution & Availability

Ginger and Petals Florist will make every possible effort to deliver flowers exactly as ordered, very rarely due to circumstances out of our control may an ordered flower or colour be unavailable. Ginger and Petals Florist will not be held accountable for flowers/colours and will not issue refunds based on this.
All flowers and products are subject to seasonal quality and availability (which can change year to year due to weather). If specific flowers are not available at the time of your wedding, you will be contacted. If required a consultation will be arranged to discuss alternative options.
Colours and Size of all flowers may vary each season, and can be slightly lighter or brighter, Larger or smaller than the original photo. Ginger and Petals Florist accepts no responsibility for these variations which are out of our control.
The bridal bouquet sizes are a guide. The actual size may vary from each wedding due to the flowers used, and the sizes of those flowers. Your bouquets may be slightly larger or smaller than guided. This is out of our control. Ginger and Petals Florist accepts no responsibility for variation in bouquet sizes
Containers and vases may change due to supplier issues, Ginger and Petals Florist will substitute the selected product with items of greater or equal value.
Ginger and Petals Florist does not accept liability for any flowers perishing quickly in cases of extreme heat (30 degrees and over) or incorrect storage after delivery / set up. Ginger and Petals Florist cannot be liable for any Emotional, physical or financial distress due to any unforeseen circumstances listed in this contract.

Non-Refundable Booking Fee

A booking is confirmed upon payment of the non-refundable Booking Fee of $100.00, together with this receipt of your signed agreement.
Your non-refundable booking fee can be paid via the following methods:
Direct Payment in Shop: Payment can be made by cash or direct deposit or Credit Card.

Refusal of Service

Ginger and Petals Florist reserves the right to decline any order.

Security Deposit for Hired Stock: · Credit card details must be supplied as a security bond
for all items on hire. Ginger and Petals Florist reserves the right to charge replacement costs for items damaged, lost or broken.

Surcharge applies: If venue’s policy states that hired stock must be collected at the
completion of the wedding reception at the end of the night, or outside normal store
trading hours.  Preparation, delivery & collection on a public holiday may attract a surcharge.
